Lost your contact lenses? Tips for finding them!

Return

It's time to wake up and start the day once again, and in the blink of an eye you've jumped into the shower, grabbed some cereal, and started drinking some coffee.

The morning is never an easy time, and if you put in your lenses too quickly disaster can strike with your contact lens falling out!

Here are some tips to help you find them easily.

To help you find your contact lenses quickly, we have put together some practical tips.

  • Keep track of where your contact lens has fallen and try to find it. Avoid crawling on the ground and avoid unnecessary movements, as you could crush or damage the contact lens.

  • If you haven't found your lens after this, there is a second trick. Darken the room and take a torch. Shine the torch on the floor and see if the contact lens reflects the light.

  • Another way to find your lens is to put a nylon stocking on the tube of your hoover. Secure the stocking with a rubber band and set the power of the hoover to the lowest possible level. Then gently vacuum the floor so that the contact lens will remain attached to the stocking without being broken. This method is especially suitable for hard lenses. For soft lenses, it may be a good idea to get a new lens.
